Team MissionSan Jose Racing, LLC, (“THSJ”), is a Texas limited liability company organized and managed by a group of professional, ex-professional and enthusiastic amateur cyclists, runners and multi-sport athletes.
The mission of the THSJ is two-fold:
- To utilize the unique talents and experiences of THSJ racers, club members, employees and partners to provide custom fitness, team building and motivational training services to corporations and other organizations; and
- To finance and promote community based sports programs and events
Custom Fitness and Team Building Services
Drawing on THSJ’s relationships with elite professional and competitive amateur athletes, as well as persons with extraordinary stories of sports, business or individual accomplishment, the Company is able to bring a variety of customized fitness and team-building programs to corporate organizations. Leveraging the individual talents of THSJ’s elite athletes alongside the resources of its established partners such as PURE Austin Fitness and Hotel San Jose, the Company is able to create unique programs designed to promote employee fitness and morale, or simply provide a healthy “perk” as part of a corporate human resources benefit package.
Community Based Sports Programs and Events
In turn, THSJ utilizes the revenues generated through our corporate services programs to provide the following community-based sports programs and events:
- Team Hotel San Jose Racing - comprised of elite professional and competitive amateur athletes who compete at local, regional, national, and international events throughout the year.
- Team Hotel San Jose Sports Club - comprised of over eighty enthusiastic beginner and intermediate level athletes who regularly ride and run on the streets and trails of Austin and central Texas and who occasionally compete in their respective age groups in local and regional running events, triathlons and cycling events.
- THSJ Education and Training – THSJ, often in coordination with partner organizations, provides mentorship, educational and training programs, to both THSJ members and the general community. Within this scope, THSJ delivers programs oriented toward the specific needs of adult and junior athletes.
- Event Promotion – Each year, THSJ coordinates, promotes, hosts and directs a variety of road, mountain bike, running and multi-sport events, including the State’s largest road cycling event and Austin’s only downtown cycling race.
- Community Involvement – Throughout the year, THSJ coordinates fundraising events for a number of non-profit, charitable and community sponsored organizations, including the Austin Parks and Recreation Department (APARD), Lance Armstrong Foundation, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired (TSBVI), and United Youth Sports (UYS). In addition, THSJ provides opportunities for members of these organizations to participate in sports in which they might not otherwise be introduced.
These programs include:
- a tandem bike program for students of the TSVBI
- adventure races and camps for underprivileged children in the APARD and UYS programs
- donations of equipment, clothing and other supplies to the APARD and UYS programs
THSJ SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Sponsoring THSJ places an organization in the company of existing sponsors including Hotel San Jose, Mercedes-Benz of Austin, RUN-TEX, Pure Austin Fitness, AMLI Residential Properties, 360 Cycleworks, Stubbs Bar-B-Q, Continental Club, Cannondale Bicycles, Clif Bar and Polar Heart Rate Monitors.
- Team Sponsorship - Sponsoring the THSJ racing and club teams provides companies with year -round exposure through placement of the company’s logos on team apparel/kit, banners and promotional materials, and team vehicles, which include an SUV provided by Mercedes-Benz of Austin, Airstream trailer and team tour bus. Sponsor logo placement (size, location, venue, etc.) is dependant upon the level of sponsorship.
- Event Sponsorship - Event Sponsorship – THSJ events provide sustainable visibility for sponsors, as well as affords the opportunity for sponsors to choose from a variety of events that best suit their specific goals. THSJ events are advertised and covered in local, regional and national print media, and receive local television coverage from national network affiliates. Event sponsorships are available at title, presenting and partner levels, with promotional services scaled accordingly.
